Yes, I was the fella that finally got the Veterans Affairs Admin to finally make a stone for Sgt CC Neal thanks to Steve Mayeux whose book had mentioned CC Neal passing in the Confederate Hospital in Marksville. I think we got it put up a yr or so after the post and many of the townsfolk turned out with an honor guard and some in period dress. It was a wonderful day for myself, my brother and our wives. Marksville did itself proud that day in welcoming strangers from Texas to honor our ancestor.
