* The 2nd Regiment Texas Cavalry, State Troops, was organized in 1863 with ten companies, A to K. Some of the companies appear to have served in an organization known as the 13th Battalion Texas State troops prior to the formation of this regiment and some of the men subsequently served in Bourland’s Regiment Texas Cavalry and Capt. Jone’s Company Texas Cavalry

Also in the regiment: T. G. Lincecum, 32, Private, Company G, 2nd Regiment Cavalry, Texas State Troops, enlisted November 20, 1863, enrolled January 27, 1864 at camp Wharton, resident of Kaufman County, no other records
