There was another witness, S. E. Echols who I believe was
Smith Emberry Echols
He Enlisted on 10/1/1861 as a Private.
On 10/1/1861 he mustered into "H" Co. TX 10th Infantry (Nelson's)
Recorded as absent, in Trans. Miss. Dept. Jul/Aug, 1863 through Apr. 1864 No further records
