Bourland's Regiment, need obituaries, photos

Karla Johnson,
.
Captain C.L. Roff lived in Coesfield, Cooke County, Texas which was about 3 miles from Col. Bourland's home. Many of Roff's original company lived in the Coesfield area.
.
Please know that I will write a book about Bourland's Regiment: at least a half page will be devoted to each soldier ..I keep two special files: a file on the men in Bourland's Regiment and a file on men in the 225 North Texas militias of my volume II.
.
Families have sent the skinny on many of the soldiers:
.
1) photos of all sorts; gravestones, family group photos, photos of houses, and yes, photos of horses.
.
2) obituaries, including family history data and especially a listing of their children.
.
Keep in mind that the purpose of my volume II (464 pages) is to make sense out of the fragmented original data in the BOURLAND PAPERS. ..I'm thrilled to report that we are slowly but surely compiling the history of Southern Oklahoma and North Texas because of the information that families have sent.
.
The reason given by the two people, to whom I dedicated my book, worked scores - if not hundreds - of hours was that they wanted these records transcribed, interpreted, and indexed. ..They quickly stated that North Texas history has received short shrift because current Texas histories reflects only events south of Dallas.
