Martins 5th Partisan Rangers

Hello:
Im looking for info. on my GG Grandfather James Roberts.
There was a James Roberts and A.J.Roberts in Martins 5 th Partisan Rangers.James had a brother named Andrew Jackson Roberts.
I dont know if this is the right Roberts. James married an Eliza Galpin in 1849 in Miller Co. Mo. and they did come to Texas. A.J. and Emeline came to Texas also.
Family lived around Grayson,Fannin,Red River Counties.
I would like to know if he survived the war. Also I have looked at CSA pension indexes for Texas,Oklahoma,Mo.,La.,
I cant seem to find where he is listed.
I cant actually find James in a census after the 1850 Miller County Missouri.
We have been stumped for 7 years.
Did James survive the war?
Where did he end up?
Thx
Richard Jackson
