Now that you've verified that Wirt Adams had some TX groups in his regiment, I guess I need to find out where they came from. Perhaps this would help me isolate on the individuals.

My William Curtis and Benjamin Franklin ELAM were born in 1838 and 1834, respectively, so it would have had to be their father who might have known Wirt Adams in TX. It would make no sense to me why two brothers, who should not have known Wirt Adams personally, would travel to MS to enlist.

I may be tracing the wrong family, too!!!!!!!!!!!
