Re: Emauel Washington Parton,Co. K, 22nd Texas Cal

That is so intresting. I was thinking it was the 1st Indian-Texas Regiment, but I wasnt quite sure. Do you happen to know where I could find some more info about this group and a roster of them by chance to see if Manual or Emanual Washington Parton was listed among this group.
Here is the info I have so I am trying figure out where and when he fought:

Emauel Washington Parton married Nancy Jane Evans in Grayson County, May 6th, 1863, after serving his time in the army. On Jan. 4th, 1862, he joined the Confederate Army, Co. K, 22nd Texas Calvary at Sherman, Texas. He mustered in at Ft. Washita, C.N. , Indian Territory on Jan. 31th, 1862. The descriptive roll describes him as 20yrs. Old, 5ft. 8in. Born in Kentucky. Has RED hair, gray eyes, with fair complexion. The value of his horse was $90.00 and his rigging was $20.00. Service records show that he was last paid on April 30th, 1863 and placed on detached duty in Texas

ANy suggestions on how I might can find this out.

Thank you so much for the info on the 1st Indian-Texas Regiment. I thought that was very intresting. Thanks so much for any help.
