Can anyone tell me where to find info on the 26th Brigade Texas Militia ? Should be I believe , from Travis County,Tx. , possibly June 1861 time frame. I am looking for a James Anderson Alvis ( aka James A. , J.A. , or James ) who was believed to be in this unit. Need some way to prove he is correct Alvis man I am looking for. If there were records , would it list his wife or family ? I would know for sure that way if it's him or not.
