William Kesterson 17th Consolidated Cavalary

Hello,

I'm looking for information on William Kesterson, for whom we have a copy of original enlistment papers containing the following information:

Card #50324033 - Age 26. Joined the Confederate Army, 17th Consolidated Texas Dismounted Cavalry, Company C, at Larissa, Texas. Enlisted by Capt. Johnson. Private with Capt. William F. Thompson's Co. 17 Regiment Texas Volunteers.

Per statements made by his grandson, William Kesterson was killed at the Arkansas Post in about 1863.

After reading a few postings, I'm amazed at the amount of information available (photos, too!?)

I have the following questions:
1. Is it somehow possible to find out details of a soldier's death?
2. Where might I find William listed on a muster roll?
3. Is it beyond the realm of possibilty that there may be a photo of his company in existance?

I'd be most appreciative of any help.
Thanks,
Kathy
