Thank you for the responce, it was most helpful. I found the names of the camps on my Great Grandfather R.L. Wallace's 'Descriptive List And Account Of Pay And Clothing' from his Texas Archives file dated April 6,1865. It states 'it is a correct transcript of the records of Camp Banks'. On the next line it says 'Station: Camp Chambers'. I presume this was the last camp for the 23rd Texas Cavalry after it was dismounted as I have yet to find any mention of it after this date.
