The list you refer to is only the generals and colonels who had swedish ancestry or were Swedes by birth.

There are more Swedes in the other sections.

The problem to find more of them are as with the Norwegians - hard to find.

There is one that I havn`t put on the records,and who I came by just by accident - his name are Kallstrom,Co E - 2nd South Carolina Inf. He was a tailor from Columbia,SC.He died in the battle of Chicamuga, and are as far as I know the only Scandinavian I know who died on the Confederate side during that battle.

I do believe there are more Swedes to be found in especially South-Carolina,North-Carolina,Georgia and Virginia. Not perhaps Swedes born in Sweden,but who are 1st generation born there. The problem that arises are they would`n set "Swedish/Sweden" as country of birth in the muster rolls, so they would be very hard to find if they didn`t have a unique Swedish last name.
