Gen. Rob't Teabue?

The Oran M. Roberts Chapter 440, UDC, located in Houston, Texas, is working on a database of all former members.

Mrs. Florence V. Hoover joined our chapter in 1905.

She joined on the service of her grandfather and his name is listed on the application as: "George H.L. Teabur?"

She states on her application as follow:

He "enlisted April 15th, 1862, as Commissary Agent, promoted to Captain, he was in deadiness to enter the army when Gen. Magruder ordered him Commissary Agent with the rank of Captain under Major Hitsteadm who commanded a company of 'Minute men' at Millican, Texas. He served in this capacity during the entire war. Geo. H. Teabue's brother Col. Rob't Teabue fought in the battle of Shiloh under General Breckenridge Brigade. During the firing Col. Rob't Teabue's horse was shot & killed under him. He was promoted on the field of battle to Brigideer General and as a result of the hardships of war, he died shortly after reaching home."

We need your help to identify these two men and their units.

Thank you.

p.s. All of the spelling above is exactly as it appears on the application!
