Bellow are the Kellys in the Whitfield / Ross Texas Cavalry Brigade during the Civil War. The Brigade was recruited mostly in northeast Texas from Dallas / Ft Worth north and east, with a few exceptions. If one or more of these guys fits your family, let me know. We will try to pin him down to town, service, etc. Don't worry about spelling. Some of the adjutants and first sergeants couldn't spell, and a large group of the soldiers couldn't write. Your teacher gave you a great task. If you succeed, be prepared to work.
