My ancestor was with the 18th TX Infantry. They were a part of Walker's Texas Division that was diverted northward following the battle at Mansfield, LA, to confront General Steele who was moving south from Little Rock. I would expect the southern AR battles - Jenkins Ferry, Poison Springs, etc. - to be correct. But which specific one still intrigues me!!

I just find it odd that his military records indicate "Battle of the Ozarks" when no one else's do!!
