I am nearing completion on a book about the Battle of Massard Prairie, fought at Fort Smith on July 27, 1864.

The manuscript has been finished for some time, but now I am looking for photographs to use as illustrations. I am particularly interested in finding photographs of men who fought on either side during the battle. Gano's Brigade of Texas cavalry was among the primary Confederate units in the battle.

If possible, I also hope to locate some historic photographs of the Massard Prairie area as it appeared prior to 1900.

If you have anything that might be of interest, please let me know. I am on a bit of a deadline but think these types of photographs would enhance the book. I don't need originals, just copies or scans of anything you might have.
