Speight's Brigade was in Louisiana in the fall of 1863.
Company E, 15TH Texas Infantry fought at the battle of Stirlings Plantation / battle of Fordoche Sept. 29, 1863. and the Teche Campaign Nov. 1863. Then fought at Bayou Boubeau Nov. 3rd, 1863. In 1864 they were in the Red River Campaign and the Camden Expedition March - May.

Private David Rino may have been killed in one of these battles.
