My ancestor was Thomas Jefferson Adams, born 1805 in Tennessee, died 1864 in Civil War, buried March 1864 in Waterman Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas. He was Co. F. 4th Texas Infantry, Hood's Brigdade, Army of Nothern Virginia Enlisted by Lt. L. P. Hughes. Name on 1896 Indigent list with 5 dependents, but crossed out before list turned in. His widow, Rebecca had one son in service, John Bickerton Adams, with 28th Regiment Texas Cavalry dismounted, Randall's Regiment First Captain was Tucker, then DeBerry, discharged June 1865. His mother Rebecca Adams received a pension from her son, John, and I'm trying to find out the date and time of her death by finding the Civil War pension for her.
