I would appreciate any info on Pvt. Francis Marion Dodson ( or Dotson ? ) Could also be listed as F.M. Dodson. He served in Co.G, 17th Texas Cavalry. Toward the end of the war they were part of a Consolidated Texas regiment and fought as infantry. Francis was in Co.K of that unit. Also, does anyone have access to a history of the 17th Cav ? Can't find much of anything on the web !!!! I'd appreciate any help.
