The Texas in the Civil War Message Board

Lt. John Clark; McCord's Regt.; ? sheriff

Cheyrl Velten,

I recommend that you copy several of these postings with your overarching question about your "John Clark" and send to my great friend, Jerry Coffee of Plano TX.

When I read your postings, I immediately thought that Jerry could possibly shed light on your John Clark, but he has been very ill, hospitalized, etc. ..So today when I received three of his signature long, info-packed e-mails, I felt that you should contact Jerry. ..He was born and raised in Brown County and has spent his life studying that part of the world. ..I must quickly add that Jerry has quite an extensive personal library of Texas history, specializing in the "trails of Texas."

Please know that I have put Jerry's lengthy e-mails, over 100 by now, into a file since his research is quite valuable.

Tell Gerald MacArthur "Jerry" Coffee >> j.coff@verizon.net << that I sent you.
