Patricia,
.
I was wondering if you had anything on the John Dameron listed in Bourland's Regt. I have copies of the 3 CW cards for that John Dameron.

My Confederate ancestor was John Shultz Damron. He may be the John Dameron listed in Bourland's. When he received his Southern Cross of Honor, he said he was in the 12th TX Cavalry. I can't find a John, John S., or J.S. Damron or Dameron in the 12th TX Cav. I can find a J.G. Damson, but that is as close as I can come. The dates of J.G. Damson do not match the dates that my John Shultz Damron gave the UDC.

I made a Find-A-Grave entry for my John Shultz Damron. I've uploaded photos and the CW cards (Bourland's and the 12th TX). Make sure you click on "More Photos Not Showing" to see them all.

Thanks for any help you can provide to this mystery.

Sincerely,
