The John Johnston in Company "F" of the 22nd Texas Infantry was 40 years-old in 1862. Does this sound like your man?

There is also a B.F. Johnson/Johnston in Company "F". Could this be a relative?

I am not immediately seeing a John Johnson/Johnston or widow, Martha that looks like your ancestor in the Texas Confederate pension index. Did they live in Texas after the war?
