Hello, and thank you so much for responding...I actually drove from Sugarland to W. Columbia and found the location. There is a marker; not tooooo much info on. It is there however. I took a picture with my digital camera. The location is in East Columbia, right on the banks of the Brazos. Just down from where the old "ferry" landing was. Interesting historical place.
