Sam wrote about a good friend named Tom Clark who was originally from NY I believe, and fought with the Rangers in Texas in 1860-1861. Sam said Tom was killed during a fight in the Main Plaza around 1862.

I have the roster for Burleson's Company in 1860. McCord is listed but there were no Clarks.
