Jerry Coffee gave an excellent account of the activities of the 33rd Texas Cavalry. My ancester is Captain John H. Robinson (from Austin, Texas) of Company C of the 33rd Texas Cavalry. I would appreciate any information you may have on the operations and activities of Company C. John H. Robinson had a brother Alfred and the muster rolls list an Alfred in this same regiment. Muster roles also list a John H. Robinson and an Alfred Robinson as part of the 13th Texas Volunteers known at the Bates Regiment. Would the Bates Regiment ever have been combined with the 33rd Texas Cavalry?
