In addition to former Confederate military personnel, how far down in the CSA civil government "pecking order" did the requirement for a loyalty oath go?...Governor, "lite" Governor, state cabinet officers, state legislators? Did county level officials...(all of the above assumed to have taken an oath of office to support the CSA when sworn in to office)...county judge, JPs, sheriff, etc., also have to take the loyalty oath?

If I remember correctly, some such as Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis were never given the opportunity (in their life-time) recover their US citizenship through the loyalty oath process...however...I certainly stand to be corrected on that fine point of history, and law...........
