John Salmon "Rip" Ford

I have a photo of an elderly man and wife and 4 younger women. The oldest of the younger women is much older than the youngest. They are posing in a horseless carriage with gas lights for head lights. My aunt said this is the Ford family that were friends with my great grand father.

This man looks exactly like the one photo I have seen of Rip Ford. I know his oldest daughter was 30+ years older than his youngest. He had 4 daughters and one son.

I know he died in 1897 but I don't know the date of the horseless carraige. I would post the photo here but am not able.

Any ideas how I can confirm that this is the Rip Ford family or not? And descendants out there?
