That must have been a real nice horse at $140.00. And I sure wish I had the shotgun and six shooter now. I suspect that this is my John Cyrus Roberts. I've always wondered how he could have served with the 6th Texas all over the South, fathered my grandmother, Cora Mae, in Bethany, Mo.in the 1860's and wound up back in Texas. And how she (Cora Mae) met my grandfather, William Michael Wyatt, who, according to a note my grandmother left in the family notes "When he was 16, William left from Corsicana and went to cowboy". And how did they meet? All very interesting.
