Co. F, Cav Batt, Waul's Texas Legion

My g-gf, Richard Adams, joined Waul’s Texas Legion in Gonzales County, Texas, 4 January 1862. Enrolled by Capt. W. H. Kelly. He was mustered in Bexar County, 20 January 1862, near San Antonio. Co. F. Some years back, a local historian published a book on the Confederate Veterans of our county. Stating he was discharged 9 February 1865. Where might I find this date? Since his death date was listed as 20 something years before he actually died, I naturally suspect the discharge date.

I recently found another “card” from the nara. It is hand written, “Adams R., Co F. Cav Batt, Wauls Tex Legion Detailed to Comsy Depot Miss 1864.” Underneath this in machine print,
“See Personal Papers of” Then hand written. “S. F. Logan Co B 2. Mo, Cav”

Can someone tell me what all this means? I did find that Comsy means Commissary.

Thank You
