Thanks for the replies. My connection with Sellers is that he married an ancestor of mine, Harriet Cone. Interestingly, she is the daugter of Henry Hale Cone who fought at the seige of Bexar. In regards to Sellers, the only additional information is from Pfanz's book - Gettysburg The Second day, page 165, which states that Sellers took Hood's final request for stopping the attack from Emmitsburg Rd. to Longstreet. Pfanz stated that Hood's reasoning for sending Sellers was that Longstreet had a "special regard" for him. Other than what I've posted I have no further information regarding his service in the civil war.
