"our Bloody Bill Anderson Mystery group has proven that more than these twenty Guerrillas lived on and not a single one ever went public saying that William C. Anderson's 1924 admission to being Bloody Bill was not the truth. ~Jay~"
More than twenty experienced researchers today have gone public saying that William C Anderson's 1924 admission to being Bloody Bill is not the truth.
They have successfully accomplished this by locating and studying the family histories of the two William Andersons, William T "Bloody Bill" and William Columbus:
1. 1850 and 1860 census records showing each man lived in different states and had different parents and siblings, and therefore were two entirely different men.
2. 1863 tax records showing the two men were in two different states at the same time, and were therefore two separate men.
3. Military records showing Bloody Bill died in battle in MO in Oct 1864 while William C was living, married and raising a family in TX until 1927, and therefore were two distinct persons.
4. March 1864 Grayson Co TX Marriage certificate showing they were not married to the same woman.
