Elizabeth --

A man named Richard Welburn appears on roll with Co. "H", 32nd Texas Cavalry Regt. He was enlisted by Capt. W. C. Cameron at Jefferson TX in 1861, served with the 9th Kentucky Regiment, and transferred to this company in 1863. I don't see any rank listed other than private.

In 1860 a man by this name lived in Live Oak Co. TX, age 21, a stockraiser born in Alabama. Another man (?) by the same name lived in Trinty Co. TX in 1870, age 41, born in North Carolina. Based on the birth states and birth years of his children, the family must have been living in Mississippi in 1860. This man could have a service file with the 3rd Miss. Battalion.
