Thank you. I find that the pension counties, the census counties and the "recruited from" counties are often all different for a soldier. Also, it appears if there are 3 records, the soldier gets put on list or roster 3 times! I am trying to find county, spouse and evidence they lived after the war for as many Benjamins as I can. Soldiers and Sailors has 1 but Texas Archive has 3 or 4. I am in contact with a descendant for the Cooke County family and have ordered pension applications by widows in hope of eliminating some of them. Will post anything I find in hopes there are some Carpenters out there. Do you know if the Sons of the Confederacy and Daughters of the Confederacy have any one-of-a-kind records?
