If it was not an outright gift, (a loan, etc.) does it not remain the property of the "giver?" If so, it would seem there are legal grounds for action.

There seems to be a certain sector of academia whose egos match those of a spoiled Hollywood star and they, and they alone, must always be the center of attention. What's the old adage about the "...fights in academia are so intense because there's really so little at stake...."

I would hope the AG of the TX ArNG might take a close look at that (perhaps a letter to his "boss"--the Governor--might motivate a closer look at the situation?) and get some answers. Unfortunately, this action may well make other donors of a piece of history think twice before supporting what appears to be a most worthy museum effort.
