Jim,
I have found that many of the people that married into the family, in-laws, etc. were all in Bates 13th Volunteers. I keep finding more all the time. I just found two in-laws that were married to my great aunts, they were John Humphres & Andrew Davlin.
Clement Jones & James Crabtree were all in that company and all are related one way our the other to me. W R Jones is also my great uncle. The problem I am finding with him is there seems to be two William R. Joneses. One was a captain and the other a private. I am guessing my uncle was the private sense he was very young. I'm guessing the W. R. Jones is my great uncle William R. All this information came from ancestry.com. It is not very complete. Just name & company. A full list would help me find others who are probably related.
Thank You!
Pam
