I am looking at a photo, made prior to 1864, of a soldier from the 19th Texas Infantry, Walker's Division. He is holding a model 1860 Henry rifle. Question 1: Where would that picture most likely have been taken? Question 2: Is the rifle more likely the property of the soldier holding it, or a photographer's prop?
