My gut feeling would be that it's a "prop" for several reasons.....

Did any southern manufacturers make the appropriate cartridge for the Henry? If not, the supply and logistics to support such a weapon would probably depend on the uncertainty of captured ammo...and since not many Yankee outfits were supplied with such weapons...particularly in the Trans-Mississippi area, supplies would be hard to come by. Any damage to the working parts of the Henry would need especially skilled gun smiths to fabricate the replacements. Other than as a trophy of war, or reserving the limited ammo supply for special services, it would seem doubtful that the weapon...as good and effective as it was...would be of much use for regular service.
