Another medical question: Int. Febris?

Jack, I have another medical question for the Doctor, if you would be so kind:

We have a 19 yr old infantryman in Jackson Hospital for 5 months with a diagnosis of "Int febris"

He was diagnosed and hospitalized after Spottsylvania, where he was in the Mule Shoe, and before his unit reached North Anna.

He was released fit for duty after 5 months and was killed 4 months later at Hatcher's Run.

Any idea about Int febris?

Thanks
