Re: Texas Ordnance of Secession question

I am in the gathering stage of my research at this time and cannot answer the question as to the leaning of the book. It does not seem to be too long but was not the easiest to read in the parts that caught my attention.

Since my quest is of two men and some pre-conceived flags about EH's actions while in Texas from 1850 to 1879, I have blinders on to the rest of the Civil War doings.

Thank you for your comments and a new lead to the Questa site. I have been doing a Google book search and that has lead me to some valuable info. I might try Questa for a month. Footnote has given me some interesting documents. EH's pardon, for being worth more than $20,000 at the end of the war, including a statement by him that he did not directly participate in the military action and a muster roll showing EH as a private in one of the Texas brigades, a fact that I have substantiated from other sources.

Thanks

JRC
