Dear Alan; There is no museum at the Camp Ford site. What you reference was an attempt by a group who broke away from the Smith County Historical Society and bought land across the highway from the park. Their "museum" is now being rented by a portable building vendor.

The Smith County Historical Society manages the Camp Ford Park for Smith County, Texas. There are walking trails, interpretive signage, and one cabin reconstruction. Dr. Glover has not updated his research since 1964, and no longer lives in Tyler. The Historical Society has amassed a great deal of new information regarding the Camp, including a data base of prisoners.
