I left a wedding, drove 3 hours and attended the final ceremony at the cemetery for Col. Earp. It was a great experience for me, as my g-grandfather fought with him in Ector's Brigade, until the end of the war. An excellent job was done by all involved, and it is a memory I will always have. I owed it to my g-grandfather to stand in his place to honor one of his commrades.
