Re: 1st TX Sharpshooters (new names)

Their service record files are contained with those of the "6 Month State Troops (Six Months 1863-1864) First (Burnett's) Battalion State Troops.

Both were in Co. A, S. N. Hefner enlisted as a Pvt. on January 10, 1863, subsequently promoted Corporal and 5th Sergeant in September 1863, his last
card which he is recorded as Present.

W. M. Husbands, enlisted as a Private, age 31, May 15, 1862, last recorded as Absent, a Nurse at Markesville [?], Georgia from February 21, 1863 though his company's September/October 1863 muster roll.

There could be records in other unit files, but, I could not identify them.
