My grandfather's name was James Knox Polk Box, but he went by "Polk" or "J.P." From the roster on Rootsweb, I see a John J. W., who was John Jasper Wesley Box. We have found a listing of "J. P. Box" as having been in this Company, and according to family lore, he was with Horne. We do not have any more information, however, as to when he joined, where he served, etc. Any more information would be appreciated. Thank you for those who responded.
