I forgot to add that Wm. D KEITH is a cousin to the other Titus County KEITHS previously mentioned, and is my great-great grandfaher. He married the widow of his cousin, Oliver Perry, killed at the "Battle of the Ozarks" while with the 18th TX Infantry.
You mention that Wm. D. KEITH was originally with the 18th TX Cavalry, that later became Co. I, Morgan's Cavalry Regiment.
There is no known record of Wm. D. KEITH having been in the 18th TX Cavalry. Records at the Amwerican Civil War Database are incorrect. Furthermore, Co. I, Morgan's Regiment originated with the 2nd TX Cavalry, Capt. Sam Richardson's Company.
