Thank you for this info. It is very confusing about these state troops and militia groups, some of which evidently were incorporated into CSA units. I now have CSA military records for Joel Leftwich, Lane B. Leftwich, Madison L. Leftwich, John L. Leftwich, and R. Henry Leftwich, and a widow's claim for William L. Leftwich - all brothers and sons of James H. Leftwich. I'm still trying to verify James F. Leftwich and Littleberry Leftwich, two other brothers. I appreciate your help in this.
