I am new to this site and new to researching my relatives from the civil war. To my understanding, I have two relatives that served in the 21st TX Cavalry Co. K. Thomas Ragsdale Atkins -- serving 10 Feb 1862-20 May 1865 and Lorenzo Dow Atkins -- serving 05 Mar 1862-20 May 1865. Lorenzo enlisted in Goliad. The company officers were Capt. M.M. Kenny, Col. G.W. Carter, Lt. Col. D.C. Giddings and Maj. J.W. Chenoworth. In the same unit were J.H. Handy and Amos Martin. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
