William C. Wren

This is the C. Wren listed in the index for TX Indigent Families in Wood Co., TX. I want to know if that book has additional information.

William was a private in the 13th Regiment, Co. D, TX Volunteers, Bates Battalion, CSA. He enlisted July 14, 1862 in Tyler, Smith Co., TX. He was present on muster rolls July 1862 through February 1863. He appears on a Register of Velasco Hospital, 13th Regiment Texas Infantry admitted February 2, 1863 and he died February 27, 1863 of Typhoid Fever. William served with his brothers, Nicholas H. Wren and John J. Wren.

William, Nicholas and John were first (August 3, 1861) enlisted in the 12th Brigade, TX Militia, Company No. 3, Active, Post Office: Quitman, Wood Co., Texas.
