Any good biography of Forrest should mention Gould's company from Red River County as part of his original battalion. For instance, John Allan Wyeth, That Devil Forrest: Life of General Nathan Bedford Forrest, pages 24 and 28. Company members receive special notice because they surrendered rather than leave Confederate lines with Forrest.

If you have time, post the names of officers and men you want examined. We should be able to provide a summary of relevant facts about each one from National Archives records.
