Thank you for the info. I guess this is not the caldwell/colwell/coldwell Ihave been searching for. I do have records where he married
in Anderson county in 1857 using the name Jasper caldwell/coldwell.He is in walker county Tx in the 1860 census,went off to war
and then sidney sherman winters married his wife mary jane colwell when he returned from the war. Family stories say that jasper
was captured they think somewhere in mexico but don't know how true this is, If you can find any info on jasper please let me
know as i have been searching a long time..thanks cb
