Dennis, this is a guess on my part about that "Harlin" name..I wonder if it is actually D. A. Harbin, and a misprint regarding that newspaper article..See this below:

Martha J. Hamilton Flowers
1844 - 1924

Miss Hamilton married David A. Harbin who was killed in Civil War battle. Their son, John D. Harbin, owned land and farmed north of Rowlett at present day Merritt and Castle Roads.

She later married, Thomas K. Flowers. He was a Civil War veteran and native of Wilson County, Tennessee.

Note: There is a D. A. Harbin listed in the R. S. Hamilton (Martha J. Hamilton's family) household 1860 Red River Co, TX Census Clarksville listed as teacher age 31 born, KY

You will also find Martha Harbin & her son, John living in the Robert Hamilton household for 1870 Red River Co, Clarksville
