Hello Gay, and yes I had saw the same thing and suspected the same as you. I beleieve it was D.R. Harbin and it was a misprint as was Duggin. As you know by now M.C. Duggin was really M.C. Duggan and was a taylor by trade and born in Ireland and was 35 years old in the 1860 census of Red River County. I was somewhat mildly surprised that N.C Gould was born in Rhode Island and like Marshall L. Sims was an attorney by civilian trade. Sims was the talker of the bunch though he sure left a lot of words behind. LOL Sims had been born in Tennessee. Slowly but surely the original roster of the Red River Rangers and their black servants is starting to take form. As you know many of the soldiers were from surrounding counties, Cass, Bowie, etc.
